Telefonica’s shares rose 1.13% in the morning session to 3.85 euros within an IBEX 35 that fell 0.96% at the same time. This is the second straight day of gains for Telekom, which has weathered the turmoil of the past few days better than the index: compared to a 2.8% drop in the Ibex since Friday’s trading session, Telefónica stock is up 1. 7% lost.
Telefonica has achieved a 13.8% revaluation so far this year, an increase that has taken its market cap to over €22,250 million. Little by little, the promotion is again a stone’s throw away to regain the 4 euro threshold, which it has not reached since the end of August last year (23 August 4.07 euros).
In general, analysts still give the value room to rise and believe it can recover within 12 months. According to Reuters, analysts on average recommend Telefónica as a hold and a price target of EUR 4.41, which is almost 14.13% above the current price.
Telefónica earned 2,011 million in fiscal 2022, down 75% due to a lack of extraordinary items. The company’s turnover increased by 1.8% to 39,993 million euros, with growth in all markets.
On the day these accounts were presented, Telefónica also announced a dividend for 2023 of EUR 0.30 entirely in cashdivided into two payments.
